Summary
Wire2Wire is a golf scoring and game-management app. We collect the information needed to create accounts, run golf rounds, invite players, calculate scoring and bet status, and help players settle peer-to-peer obligations. Wire2Wire does not hold user funds, process wagers, or operate as a sportsbook.
Information We Collect
- Account information such as name, phone number, email address, password credentials, and profile details.
- Golf profile information such as handicap index, GHIN-related information if you choose to connect it, player settings, Venmo handle, or Cash App tag.
- Round information such as courses, tee selections, scores, teams, match formats, wagers recorded between players, presses, settlements, and leaderboard data.
- Contact lookup information if you choose to let Wire2Wire help find or invite friends from your contacts. We use phone numbers and email addresses for matching and invites.
- Approximate or device location when you use features such as nearby course search, if you grant permission.
- Technical information such as device type, app version, logs, authentication tokens, and server request data used to operate and secure the service.
How We Use Information
- To create and authenticate your account.
- To let you create rounds, add players, enter scores, manage teams, and view leaderboards.
- To calculate match status, bet cards, presses, settlement summaries, and round history.
- To help you invite players or find contacts who already use Wire2Wire.
- To provide support, troubleshoot bugs, prevent abuse, and improve app performance.
- To comply with legal, security, and platform requirements.
How We Share Information
We share round-related information with the players who are part of the same round, tournament, team, or invite flow. We may also use service providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, messaging, realtime updates, and payment-app deep links. These providers only receive information needed to provide their services.
Wire2Wire does not sell personal information. Payment settlement is handled directly between players through external payment apps when users choose to open those apps.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect accounts, authentication tokens, and user data from unauthorized access.
Retention and Deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain round history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. You can request account deletion at any time using the account deletion page.
Your Choices
- You can update account and profile information in the app where available.
- You can control device permissions such as contacts or location through your device settings.
- You can request account deletion from inside the app or at wire2wire.app/delete-account.
Children
Wire2Wire is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
